Security Issue with Skype App for Android

Other Apps now can access your data on your phone, a security threat was found in Skype app for Android. Using that app, personal data like Skype username, contact information or messages etc. can be collected and share with others. However, this is not true for your sensitive data like Account balance or number, your name, date of birth; email etc. so it seems that Skype really missed the security concerns for that part. Let’s assume that you have downloaded an unknown application from internet on your phone, your data can be accessed without your knowledge or prompt, however, secret information is still safe but you are now very much uncertain.

Skype is the actual app, which missing the proper security / permission, found on leak version testing, reported by AndroidPolice. Standard Skype app is also affected with same issue.

Protection Measures:

Until Skype originally fix the issue, user has to take care this issue by their own but simply not to downloading ANY UNKNOWN app to their phones.
